Isis of the Stars Temple Page

The Temple provides the organizational structure for the Isis of the Stars community. It began as a Fellowship of Isis hearth or shrine of the Goddess, known as an Iseum, but quickly grew to encompass shrines and altars to many Gods and Goddesses of worldwide pantheons. The physical temple space is located in Northern California, but most of the Isis of the Stars activities takes place in virtual space, both on the Internet, through member networking, and by psychic attunements, for mystery dramas and other shared Temple activities.

The main segments of the Temple are:

• Lyceum—College of Isis of the Stars Main Page
• House of Life—Support organization for Isis of the Stars and for the Fellowship of Isis, provides recognition for members' extraordinary work and gifts.
• Iseum of Ma'at and Thoth—Center for support of writing, artwork, and other activities showing forth the truth of the Gods.
• Iseum of Apollo and Artemis—Center for supporting discussions of sacred sexuality, and for supporting GLBT members, their families, and friends.
• Solar Iseum of Universal Alchemy—Center for the teaching of alchemical gifts in support of spiritual growth.
• Grove of Shasta Rising—Center supporting the development of sacred psychic gifts in the service of the Earth, through elemental knowledge. Part of the Druid Clan of Dana of the Fellowship of Isis.
• Priory of the One Tree—Center for developing environmental awareness and encouraging the use of our gifts to help the Earth. Part of the Noble Order of Tara of the Fellowship of Isis.

An interactive Temple Tour is under construction, and will allow people to visit the various altars in the temple, located in Northern California, and learn about the many Gods and Goddesses of worldwide cultures honored therein.

Purpose of the Temple

The Temple of Isis of the Stars exists to expand the discussion of Deity beyond our tendency to focus on male or female gender, or even anthropomorphic Gods. We choose to recognize that all genders and aspects of Deity have value to modern human beings. As Carl Jung noted, we each have animus and anima within us, male and female aspects of self that need to be integrated and resolved for a person to be whole. In the Temple, we are dedicated to fostering this task of personal spiritual growth by finding the best match between Deities and people. (Not everyone resonates most strongly with Buddhist concepts, or Christian, although we honor those paths as well. We try to provide access to alternative paths, as the major religions cover their own territory well.)

In the spirit of the FOI manifesto, we are dedicated to bringing back awareness of the Feminine Face of the Divine in all Her many forms, honoring the spirit of diversity and being non-denominational. Visitors and members of the temple are not required to follow any particular path, instead we treasure the insights that diverse points of view bring to us. Make yourself at home, be welcome!

Temple Membership

The Temple of Isis of the Stars accepts as members anyone who is interested in reviving the study of the Feminine Face of the Divine, who chooses to worship and study the ancestral Gods of mankind, or who chooses to follow the path of partnership—balance between the Feminine and Masculine faces of Deity.

Membership in the Temple of Isis of the Stars permits you to participate in the various activities offered by the Temple, including classes, discussions, and FOI mystery dramas. It also allows you to possibly become a member of the House of Life, an Isis of the Stars association that honors people for their abilities and service to the Gods. If they so choose, members' contact information will be listed in the Community section of this site, where we will also provide announcements of any special services our members choose to offer.

We anticipate that all temple members will be or become members of the Fellowship of Isis; however, that is not a requirement, and we will respect anyone's desire for independence, if so stated. Nor is it required that members of the temple list themselves in the community page, as each individual's privacy and confidentiality will also be respected.
